  • Quantum Accelerometer

    M Squared Lasers

A quantum accelerometer uses atom interferometry to measure accelerations along a horizontal axis. Quantum accelerometers are able to achieve a combination of sensitivity and stability by exploiting quantum interference. As such, they will be critical components of a quantum inertial navigation unit, which will offer satellite-free navigation with unparalleled long-term accuracy. A phase locked SolsTiS system underpins this setup and provides the extremely low phase noise required to make high sensitivity measurements and dynamic frequency tunability to address multiple atomic transitions.

  • Decade Capacitor

    1419 Series - IET Labs

GenRad 1419-A and GenRad 1419-B (Polystyrene) Owing to its very low dielectric absorption, the GenRad 1419A 3 Decade 1000 pF/step & 1419B 4 Decade 100 pF/step Polystyrene Decade Capacitors are particularly useful in research and development work on computer and integrator circuits and on low-level amplifiers. Its constancy of capacitance and dissipation factor as a function of frequency also makes it extremely useful in measuring circuits and as a component in filters and tuned circuits. High insulation resistance and low dielectric absorption make it the 1419 Decade Capacitor a nearly ideal capacitor for dc work.

  • MEGA-POLE® Series

    MEGA-POLE™ - Pole/Zero

The MEGA-POLE filter series covers the standard frequency bands within the 30 to 450 MHz range. This new filter series provides excellent selectivity while maintaining very low insertion loss. The product line also has exceptional RF power handling capability with a high third order intercept point. The MEGA-POLE filter series can be used for transmitter applications to reduce power amplifier noise, harmonics and intermodulation products, to provide bi-directional filtering directly at a transceiver’s antenna port, or other applications requiring extremely linear, high power RF bandpass filtering. It has been designed for rugged military environments per MIL-STD-810.

  • Acoustic Probe

    AA-Ultrasonic - IPEC Ltd.

The AA-Ultrasonic acoustic probe is designed for use on air insulated terminations where a clear sound path between the electrically stressed insulation and the probe is present. The sensor is extremely sensitive and can detect activity below 10pC. The probe has a magnetic base to allow coupling to steel enclosures and a swivel head as so the detecting sensor can be aimed directly at the HV point. Corona in air and surface tracking can seriously damage high voltage insulating surfaces in a way that will ultimately lead to flashover and complete failure of the insulator. This discharge activity creates acoustic emission that can be detected using a high frequency sensor. The magnitude of the acoustic emission is indicative of the degree and severity of the discharge activity.

  • Low Noise Prepolarized Microphone

    378A04 - PCB Piezotronics, Inc.

The 378A04 is a matched system that is comprised of a high sensitivity microphone and a low noise preamplifier that contains a built-in filter that enables the free-field response to remain flat over a wide frequency range. The system requires a minimum of 4 mA and measures to 6.5 dBA (5.5 dBA typical) within a cost efficient, prepolarized (0V) design. PCB's model 378A04, the industry's first prepolarized low noise microphone and preamplifier system allows you to measure extremely low amplitudes. In the past this was only possible with externally polarized solutions. With a typical noise floor of 5.5dBA, this microphone system delivers all of the benefits commonly associated with prepolarized systems.

  • Amplitude Detectors with Isolators

    ERAVANT

Full band waveguide detectors are GaAs beam lead Schottky diode-based detectors that are specially designed for millimeterwave network analyzer applications. With a proprietary circuitry design and careful diode selection, these zero-biased detectors exhibit high sensitivity and extremely flat output characteristics. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 18 to 170 GHz and offers a 1 MHz video bandwidth and 1 MΩ video output impedance. The standard models also have the capacity to handle a maximum RF input power of up to +17 dBm. The RF interface of these detectors is a standard waveguide with an integrated Faraday isolator to improve the port VSWR. The output voltage polarity is negative and the connector type is a female SMA. Other configurations are offered as custom models.

  • TDR Cable Analyzer

CT100B - MOHR Test and Measurement llc

The CT100B is special for two reasons: (1) It is the industry''s only high-resolution portable TDR providing step TDR impedance waveforms with resolution sufficient to show connector detail (~1 cm), and (2) it is the industry''s first portable TDR capable of making frequency domain S-parameter measurements including return loss (S11) and cable loss / insertion loss (S21). "High resolution TDR is extremely useful for detecting and localizing cable faults and characterizing cable and connector performance, but historically, portable TDRs have been unable to display OSL-calibrated S-parameter measurements," said Brandt Mohr, MOHR chief technologist. "The CT100B includes that capability, making it a very versatile instrument. If you can only carry one cable tester out into the field with you, it should be the CT100B."

  • Muzzle Velocity Radars

MVR Series - Innovative Technical Systems

The MVR Series of Muzzle-Velocity Radars are Doppler-CW transceivers that measure the velocity of viewed objects such as projectiles. They use phase-locked millimeter-wave transmitter-receivers along with an integrated radome-protected antenna to illuminate objects under investigation. An optical boresighting aid provides alignment assistance for the narrow radiation patterns. Reflected signals from the target are received by the antenna and mixed to produce a video output equal to the Doppler spectrum of the target. A low-noise, variable gain video amplifier can drive a 50-ohm cable up to +1 volt output. The video amplifier has a feed-forward DC offset compensation circuit that extends the Doppler frequency response from under 1 Hz to over 2 MHz. An integrated DMM and LCD display on the front panel monitors various test points within the sensor to verify proper operation. The extremely rugged design allows the MVRs to withstand high acousitic shock environments so they can be located in close proximity to the projectile source.
